Carol’s Daughter is a brand that focuses on creating healthy and natural products for African American hair.  They’ve gained a lot of popularity lately due to the high quality of their products, and the many public celebrities who use them.  The Sephora award winning Hair Milk is one of the most popular products they sell. I received the Hair Milk from my mom in a gift set for my DD (dear daughter) and decided to give it a try. Can you say LOVE!  I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! It does amazing things for our hair.  

Any mother that has a child with African American hair can tell you, it’s a difficult process to find a hair product that is made to nourish, protect and moisturize the special qualities of African American hair. It can be even more challenging when you limit your options to products that use only all natural products. Alcohols, heavy oils and synthetic ingredients can wreak havoc on already fragile hair, and cause dryness and breakage to hair that can be difficult to comb – typical of MOST over the counter hair products.

  

Carols Daughter’s Hair Milk contains all natural ingredients and no alcohols to dry out DD’s hair. Its smells wonderful and feels divine! My daughter’s hair is natural, and boy does she have a head full!  My hair is locked (I must admit, I have a head full as well). This product does the same thing for both of us – moisturizes, hydrates, softens, makes the hair more manageable, and adds a beautiful sheen that glistens in the sun. It does all of this withOUT leaving a heavy, greasy residue behind. 

There are no “cons” that come to mind with this product, save a re-apply here and there – I did find that I had to re-apply half way through the day to maintain a “wet” look, but on days when this wasn’t the desired look, it was fine.  All in all, it tamed my fizz, reduced the tangles and left our hair feeling soft smooth and not greasy.  If you’ve been thinking about transitioning to natural haircare, or have been considering Carols Daughter’s products, go for it!  I HIGHLY recommend the Hair milk, give it a try!
