How to have awesome winter skin, naturally! – Part 2
So today we’ll continue talking about your skin and keeping it looking fresh, hydrated and beautiful through the winter doldrums.
Next up! Diet!
Yep! What you eat every day can, and will, change your skin – point blank, period! So, if you, for example suffer from very dry skin, try including foods in your diet that are rich in skin loving fatty acids. Some of which are:
* salmon
* olives
* olive and coconut oils
* avocados
* nuts
In addition, don’t forget to up you water intake during the winter months. The cold, dry air of winter can really strip out skin of moisture, its up to us to put that moisture back by staying hydrated.
Moving right along…
Make Your Own Treatments, especially during the winter months. Why? Your skin will require some heavy duty, rich, ultra-hydrating formulas during these cruel months. And guess what? You can pay a big buck for those treatments over the counter, or if you prefer, you can make your own.
Combining things like oatmeal, water, avocados and honey, create rich facial masks (and fresher is better!). Apply the mask to your skin and allow it to dry, then rinse.
An absolute all time favorite of mine:
A simple honey treatment to moisturize your skin and make it glow. Ready?
After washing your skin (or after you hydrating mask above), lightly pat just a few drops of honey all over your face. That’s it! Your skin won’t be sticky, if you use just a few drops, and you won’t believe the hydrating benefits!
